The jiu jitsu community can be intimidating to enter, however, once you do so, you quickly learn it is quite the opposite. It is friendly, welcoming, encouraging, and fosters growth in too many areas of life to list. Professor Greg is the embodiment of that nurturing spirit. Not only is he generous with his time, patient, and extremely skilled when teaching technique, its his “care factor” for his students that sets him apart.
Professor Greg is the first to reach out to check in on a teammate, offer advice for both jiu jitsu as well as life, and encourage everyone. Simply, he is just one of the most positive people I have ever been around. More so than any work on the mats, I enjoy our conversations and consider myself lucky to call him a friend.
Coach Greg was my introduction to the Jiu-Jitsu world and could not imagine starting with a better coach. Greg is a true professional who prioritizes the development of his students above anything else. Most importantly, he teaches how Jiu-Jitsu can be applied to life, not just competition or self-defense. Greg coaches that Jiu-Jitsu is a continuous journey in which you should always seek to better yourself. In a world of quick gratification, I have deemed this to be one of the most important teachings of my journey. The future is bright for Greg and I look forward to continuing to perfect my craft under his tutelage.
